Welcome to Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Disease (SEED)
The Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Disease (SEED) programme serves to initiate, coordinate and conduct clinical and epidemiologic research in ophthalmology and vision diseases in Singapore and throughout Asia.
Specifically, the SEED programme encompasses research that defines the epidemiology, natural history, etiology, risk factors and impact of visual impairment and its major causes, such as cataract, myopia, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
The program will provide a forum for generating new hypotheses, and the application of epidemiologic and statistical methods to test these hypotheses.
