Specific Aims
of SEED
The Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Disease (SEED)
Centre aims:
- To determine the prevalence, incidence, risk
factors and public health significance of blinding
eye diseases in Singapore and Asia through the
conduct of epidemiological studies
- To foster international collaborations with
other ophthalmic institutes
in Asia and worldwide
- To provide research, expertise and consultation
to other research centers, hospitals and ophthalmic institutions
in Singapore and Asia
- To conduct training programmes for clinicians and research students interested in ophthalmic epidemiology
- To organise workshops and symposia and international meetings on ophthalmic clinical research and epidemiologic methods
